The Mark Of Wisdom

"OBEDIENCE IS THE MARK OF THE WISDOM OF GOD"

This past Sunday I was in Sunday school and learned that obedience is a key factor to your walk with Christ... NO DUH RIGHT!!! Well, it was really cool to look at some lives of some people in the Bible and see how really important obedience is. See King David who was a Godly man was at his end of being a king and had to find a new king to take his place. King David had many sons, but only one had a heart that was after God. Both King David and God chose Solomon to be the next king.... God came to Solomon in a dream and said "Ask. What should I give you." Solomon acting in obedience to God's word asked for a discerning heart and for wisdom as he knew he had to lead a nation. God not only granted him that, but also blessed him with even more. See, that's what God does... If we follow, obey, love, and trust in Him he will bless us abundantly. How cool is that, that the God of the universe wants to help us and bless us! God is really showing me how much He loves me and wants me to obey Him so He can bless me.

Some more really cool things I took out of Sunday school.

"Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:17

Google is an amazing tool that helps people find things in places we may never have known to look. But no matter how well Google works, it can never know you personally.

Wisdom becomes knowledge when it is personal experience.

8 years later...

Friday night I had the chance to see my Grandma whom I haven't seen since I was 12. See, my step Grandpa just died, so my family decided to fly my Grandma up here so she can be with the family when she goes.... My Grandma and I haven't always been on good terms, but in these times is when you have to push everything to the side and only remember the family bond and love that is between you. I do love my Grandma very much and even though it was a little rough seeing her, I am glad I had the chance to see her before she gets to far gone. She will be in my prayers and thoughts from now until she goes. I will always remember the time I got to spend with her and I'm glad I got a picture to always look at.

Double-mindedness

Today I had the opportunity to spend some time with my dear friend Pam and we were able to do a little bible study on double mindedness. We went straight to the bible to see what God said about this. Now you may be asking what double-mindedness is, its knowing what is right and what you should be doing, but not doing it and maybe even doing the opposite of it. We looked in God's word and it showed us a few things to help us not be double-mindedness. I few things I learned was that when God tells us to do something we need to have faith, believe in Him, and to not doubt Him. The Bible also says that you need to stray from the wicked and do not follow their leadership. I love how God is teaching me new things and using wonderful people to help me along the way.

I also got to spend some time with Pam's two son's which is ALWAYS a blessing! Baby Owen sure is growing and I love to get new pictures of him and see the changes! Out of all four kids Owen is the one I got to see her pregnant with and now growing to a handsome little boy! Pam all of your children are a blessing in my life and I can't thank you enough for letting me be apart of seeing them grow up.
